Law Enforcement has determined that a possible threat to Melcher-Dallas Schools is not credible.
In an alert that went out from Superintendent Scott Bridges it said, “Late last night it was brought to my attention that a student may have brought a knife to the JH/HS school yesterday and that it was on school grounds. Overnight, I partnered with the Sheriff’s Department as they investigated the incident. Through their investigation, law enforcement found the threat to be not credible. At Melcher-Dallas, student safety is a top priority. We will continue to educate our students on the importance of their role in keeping our schools safe. We ask parents to remind their children that if they “see something, say something” to you as a parent, or to a member of the school faculty.”
