The Annual Homecoming Parade from Newton High School to downtown Newton was held last night. The route was altered due to downtown street construction, but the parade itself featured all the usual participants. Homecoming King and Queen Zane Munger and MaLayna Budinich and the rest of the Homecoming Court, the High School Marching Band, and all the high school football teams were among the attractions. Zane and MaLayna were crowned Thursday morning during a coronation in the high school’s upper gym. The two were among 16 candidates. They are both trying to make the most of their Senior years.
Zane says “I am going to make the most of every last dance, meet, or practice. I’m going to enjoy it and be happy to be here.” MaLayna added that she’s “just trying to hang out with my friends. I’m trying to smile and laugh and get the most education I can.”
You can listen to Newton’s Homecoming King and Queen, Zane Munger and MaLayna Budinich, on today’s Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Let’s Talk Newton.
