The Simpson College women’s soccer team maintained its position in fourth in the second edition of the United Soccer Coaches Region IX rankings.
The Storm (4-0-3) picked up a big 4-0 road win over Grinnell last week followed by two draws against undefeated Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams over the weekend. Simpson tied Gustavus Adolphus 2-2 before playing to a 3-3 draw at RV Carleton, which ranks third in the region.
Simpson returns to the pitch this Saturday to face Wis.-Eau Claire. The Blugolds are currently 3-3-1 and are set to play fellow American Rivers Conference foe Luther on Wednesday.
