The Pella Marching Dutch have already showcased their 2024 show “The Other Side,” during homecoming, and now, they are ramping up for upcoming competitions.

Tonight, the Pella Marching Dutch will do a final run through performance at 8:30 p.m. at the Pella High School stadium. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, as seating will be limited to the visiting team bleachers.

This year’s competition schedule has been slightly altered, as the Marching Dutch start with the Bands of America regional show in Waukee on Saturday, September 28th. This will be followed by the Pella Marching Dutch Invitational, in which the band will perform in exhibition to close festivities. This year’s MDI schedule includes two sessions — one for smaller schools and another for larger entries.

Pella will return to Valleyfest on October 12th before closing the season with the Iowa High School Music Association state festival on October 19th, with the band’s final 2024 performance slated for the Mid-Iowa Band Championships in Ankeny.
