Bobby Pierce led all but eight laps on Saturday night and for the most part, dominated the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals at the Knoxville Raceway. Pierce started on the pole and led the 34 lap before he was passed by Hudson O’Neal, but Pierce found a way back to the front and never gave up the lead. The 75 lap] race was slowed by four yellows and a red when rain started falling. After around a 30 minute delay racing resumed on lap 61. Pierce took home $50,000 for his efforts and won his first career Late Model Nationals. Brian Shirley was 2nd and Devon Moran completed the podium. Jeff Aikey won the Super Late Model support class taking the lead on lap 16 of the 22 lap race. This ended the 2024 racing season at the Knoxville Raceway.
