The #6 in class 5A Indianola volleyball team placed 2nd at the Waukee Invitational Tournament on Saturday going 4-1, while the #8 in class 4A Norwalk Warriors went 2-2 falling in the semifinals.

The Indians then advanced to the semifinals where they defeated Norwalk 2-0 (25-15, 25-16) to advance to the finals where they fell to #3 in class 5A Ankeny 2-1 (19-25, 25-16, 15-17) in a third set heartbreaker. Indianola improves to 19-3 overall, and will next play at Dallas Center-Grimes on Tuesday.

The Warriors went 2-1 in group play falling to Ankeny 2-0 (11-21, 16-21), but defeating Knoxville 2-0 (21-8, 21-19) and Des Moines Roosevelt 2-0 (21-16, 21-12) to advance to the semifinals where they fell to Indianola. The Warriors are now 14-8 on the season, and will play on Tuesday hosting Pella.
