The Knoxville School Board will meet in a special closed session tomorrow evening.

On the agenda is a closed session pursuant to Iowa Code 21.5(1)(j) to discuss the sale of particular real estate, only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to reduce the price the governmental body would receive for that property.

The school board did hear a purchase proposal from the Knoxville Alumni Association Monday night in regards to Ken Locke Stadium. A public hearing will be held regarding this sale at the next regular board meeting. However, the school district could sell the property to a different entity or continue to retain the property if the board would so choose. Tomorrow’s closed session will be held at 5:00 pm at the district office.
