A new look and features are coming to the Newton Community School District website. The Newton School Board approved a proposal from Juicebox Interactive in Des Moines on Monday. District Director of Business Services Tim Bloom, says the new interactive website will include different features and a digital backpack for parents.
“This will work with the google calendars, with all the activities and athletics flowing into the new calendar. It will also work with the “Parent Square” app we use to communicate with parents. It will work on a digital platform as a website and be able to communicate and share information about what’s going on in the school and the community.”
According to Bloom, the goal is to get the website change completed by Christmas break. Newton Community School District Director of Business Services Tim Bloom talks more about this week’s school board meeting on today’s Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Let’s Talk Newton.
