Volleyball Coasts To Sweep Over Clarke
The class 4A #14 Knoxville Volleyball squad had very little trouble defeating Clarke on Tuesday night sweeping the Indians 25-15, 25-11, and 25-9. The Panthers held control from the start and coasted to their 2nd win in the South Central Conference. Hannah Dunkin led with 11 kills while Rylyn McCarty and Sienna Scott both had five and Jordyn Counts had four kills and was 8/9 serving with three aces. Islynn Prevo was 7/8 behind the serve line with four aces, and Kadince Wells was perfect in 11 serve attempts. Players Rylyn McCarty and Abbie Keitges told KNIA/KRLS Sports once they figured out where to place the ball the rest of the night went smoothly.
Rylyn: “Just realizing we had the height advantage and we just used our tips and shots and just kept swinging away.
Abbie: Our clockers were there and it was easier to read people, and they weren’t swinging as hard as the Shaffer Twins but it was easy.”
Addy Dunkin had 24 assists as Knoxville improves 11-9 and 2-1 in the South Central Conference. The Panthers head to Boone on Saturday.
