Saints Travel To Lamoni Looking For Win #3

The Melcher-Dallas Football Squad will have to come back down to Earth for another game tonight after winning the rivalry game over Twin Cedars last week. The Saints travel to Lamoni to play the Demons, who are three-and-one in the season. The Saints were able to run and pass the ball well last week with Brody Johnson throwing for 160 yards and Ryan Heaton churning up 138 yards of total offense. That effort will be needed tonight, plus the defense will need to stiffen up against Lamoni’s Ambrose Savage, who has 674 yards on the ground and is 11/21 for 254 yards through the air. Coach Jason Mason tells KNIA Sports Savage is the one that his team must contain to have a chance to win.

Mason: “Lamoni is a good physical team and that Ambrose kids is similar to what we saw with Twin Cedars so we’ll have to dial it in and contain.”

The Saints have a chance to three-and-three with a win for the first time since the 2022 season. Kickoff is set for 7:00.
