Two juniors at Knoxville High School have been selected to the All Iowa Honor Dance team.

The two girls selected from the Knoxville Dance Team were Iselynn Prevo and Ava Karr. In August the team can bring six girls to try out for the All Iowa Dance Team and there are roughly 500 girls who try out and only 200 make the team. Three girls from Knoxville tried out and two were selected. Knoxville Dance Team Coach Devin Dunkin says these girls will perform during the state basketball tournament.

“All through competition season they will receive videos that they need to learn on their own, and then in March we will go up to the new Rec Plex for two full days and then they will perform at the state basketball tournament.”

Dunkin also encourages the community to come out and support the dance team during halftime of Knoxville home football games.
