The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is getting some immediate help covering shifts for the department’s Advanced Life Support service. Sheriff John Halferty was given unanimous County Board of Supervisor approval this week, to hire Nicholas Aldrich as a part-time Advanced Life Support Paramedic. According to Halferty, Aldrich previously worked for the Sheriff’s Office as a deputy.
“It will be a good hire. Nicholas was a great employee. He had an interest in the medical field. He’s a paramedic now. He’s going to work some shifts doing that dual role with us and we are excited to have him.”
Aldrich’s hiring is effective immediately, at $25 per hour.
