Two of the four members on the Jasper County Board of Health were reappointed to new terms at this week’s Board of Supervisors meeting. Board Chairman Brandon Talsma says the reappointments were at the recommendation of County Board of Health Administrator Becky Pryor.

“Even though it’s not until December, Becky requested we go ahead and reappoint Dr. Andrew Cope and Julie Smith to the Board of Health. They only meet every two months, so this will cover them for the December meeting.”

Dr. Cope and Smith’s terms were to end at the conclusion of this year. Their new terms end December 31, 2027. Jasper County Board of Health member Donna Akins is to serve through the end of 2026. Jody Eaton’s term expires at the end of 2025.
