The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce has announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated and upgraded Randy Wilson Track on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:15 p.m.

This event will serve as the kickoff for Knoxville’s Homecoming Pep Rally and Events, bringing together alumni, students, community members, and local leaders to celebrate the new home of the Knoxville Panthers. Randy Wilson Track, a facility that has served Knoxville athletes for many years, has undergone extensive renovations to improve its functionality, appearance, and accessibility for future generations of athletes, performers, and spectators. The upgrades have been made possible through the combined efforts of local donors, school officials, and the Knoxville community. Superintendent Cassi Pearson says Thursday will be a special night at the new football stadium.

“One of the things we are really looking forward to is Thursday night October 3rd we will be having the homecoming coronation and pep rally. We also will be having the ribbon cutting for Randy Wilson Track that evening. We are looking forward to that and of course the big homecoming football game will be on Friday and the dance for students will be on Saturday.”

The homecoming football game will then take place Friday night at Randy Wilson Track.
