The Pella Marching Dutch competed well with some of the best marching bands in the region at the annual Bands of America Regional held in Waukee Saturday. The band placed 2nd in Class 2A and qualified for the evening finals. The Marching Dutch placed 6th overall following their evening performance with a score of 75.45 out of 22 total ensembles competing from seven different states. Pella will perform in exhibition to end festivities next at the annual Marching Dutch Invitational, this year to be held at Pella Christian High School on Saturday, October 5th. The Marching Dutch will also perform at this Friday’s football game during halftime against Newton.
