The Pleasantville football team fell on the road to Sigourney-Keota 33-7 Friday night in their second game of district play.

The Trojans offense struggled to make much happen throughout the game and the defense had a tough time stopping the unique single wing offense that the Cobras presented. The one score of the night for Pleasantville came on a touchdown pass from Braylon Bingham to Logan Roff. Pleasantville Coach Mack Jorth says his team needs to continue to get better and focus on the next game ahead of them.

“You definitely need to continue to focus on the next game as the most important game. That has to be the way it goes. It’s kind of coach speak but it’s true. You have to focus on that one game and make that everything, and approach it the same way you would for any team. You don’t want to overlook anyone and you need to continue to find the best version of ourselves, and continue to get better.”

Pleasantville falls to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in district play. Pleasantville will host 1-4 Colfax-Mingo next week.
