Pella Christian High School is welcoming alumni back to Eagle Lane this Friday to celebrate the 20th year of football being offered at the school.
Former football players, coaches, and guests are invited to join together for a dinner to reminisce and celebrate the history of the program. In addition to the dinner, graduating classes from the program will be recognized before and during the game. Following the game, there will be a photo and a postgame celebration with chocolate milk. The celebration and dinner will precede the Eagles game against Sigourney-Keota this Friday. Iowa High School Football Hall of Famer and former Pella Christian head coach Jerry Staton says he has enjoyed seeing the program continue to grow and succeed over the past 20 years.
“I just enjoy so much seeing that program grow and develop and keep going. I think that’s the hard part. You can have a good team once in a while, but longevity, that’s what makes it great. And they certainly have done that at Pella Christian.”
