The Jordan’s Way National Tour will make a stop at the Marion County Humane Society for a live fundraiser on Tuesday.
This fundraiser will be from 6:00-9:00 pm and this is a way to help out the humane society, which is currently at capacity. Jordan’s Way has raised $9.8 Million for animal shelters nationwide and makes stops all over the country. Marion County Humane Society President Leslie VanderLinden says they are still looking for volunteers for this event.
“It’s kind of a fun fundraiser where they spend time with all of the animals, dogs and cats both. They put it out nationwide. We do need volunteers to help with this. They want us to have a minimum of 20 people here and we have about 12 people to commit to being here. He does like pies in the face. He will lock people in with a dog or something and he will have people call their friends and families and whoever wins the most gets out.”
The mission of the Marion County Humane Society is to humanely care for homeless pets, return them to their current owners, or adopt them to new, loving homes.
