The Pella City Council has several action items to consider at this evening’s regular meeting. The council will review a partnership with Central College for the construction of additional pickleball courts; the City of Pella will pay $300,000 to support the college’s ongoing tennis court renovation project. A public hearing will be held for phase three of improvements at Kiwanis Park, which includes bids submitted for the work to begin later this month and to be completed by the middle of next summer. A pair of agreements are also on the agenda for Confluence to work with the city to update its comprehensive plan for the first time since 2014 and to develop a master signage plan for the community as well. A public hearing will be set in November to approve a development agreement for the Prairie Ridge Preliminary Plat in relation to phase two of the housing area. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6:00 this evening in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
