Homecoming wraps up in Knoxville with the Panthers hosting #8 Nevada in class 3A district six. The Panthers are 3-2 and are looking for a signature win this season, but to do that they will have to figure out a powerful Cubs squad with a lot of weapons. Nevada can throw the ball with Connor King, who has 779 yards passing and six touchdowns. Nevada can also run the ball as the Cubs have rushed for nearly 1,000 yards. Knoxville Coach Matt Dunkin is not saying it is ngtio a pick your poison type of game, but his team will need to be ready to defend whatever Nevada runs or throws at his team.

Dunkin: “Really offensive, what’s most concerning is that they can run and throw the ball. They can get in multiple formations and run and pass for those. So it’s going to come down to our guys being ready and doing their job on Friday.”

This will be a battle of two of the top passers in District Six as far as pass efficiency. King for Nevada has a near 57% completion rate while Knoxville’s Brenden Woolsey has a near 60% completion rate.
