In Chariton the Saints Cross Country Squad earned its first medal of the season as Amber Addington placed 12th in the time of 25:56. In the boys race, Austin Remster was 32nd in a time of 22:37, just a few seconds off of his personal best, and Dane Sorensen was 53rd in a time of 28:03.

While the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad is 2-4, there is still a path to the 8 man playoffs for the Saints. That begins tonight by defeating Moravia. The Saints need to win tonight and pull off the upset next week over BGM to steal the 3rd spot out of eight-man district seven. The Saints are fully focused on Moravia who got its first win of the season against Twin Cedars last week. Saints Coach Jason Mason, knowing there is still a lot to play for, wants a big crowd tonight at the Melcher-Dallas Sports Complex, and a win.

Mason: “We have a lot to play for, especially with BGM losing to Montezuma. I expect it will be a high intensity game. I want our crowd here and as loud as possible because there is a lot to play for.”

The Saints are 2-1 at home this season and look to win their 3rd game of the season overall. Kick off is set for 7:00.
