The Pella FFA chapter once again will be hosting Thank A Farmer at Two Rivers Cooperative in Pella this week. As in previous years, students will serve meals to farmers that come to Two Rivers Cooperative to thank them for the work they do. This year, the event will be held today through Thursday:

Monday 10/7: 4-6pm
Tuesday 10/8: 4-6pm
Wednesday 10/9: 2:30-5:30pm
Thursday 10/10: 4-6pm

The Pella FFA chapter has a goal of handing out 200 meals to farmers this year.

All 200 meals will consist of a smoked pork burger from Ulrich’s Meat Market dipped in Cookies BBQ sauce, a bag of chips, candy, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of water. The chapter pays for this event out of funds raised from their annual fundraiser fruit sales that is taking place now through November 5th. Those who would like to purchase from the Pella FFA fundraiser to help with community service events like “Thank A Farmer” should fill out the form on the QR code and an FFA member will contact you.
