Newton Varsity Athletes to Compete in Newton, Des Moines, and Fort Dodge Thursday

Newton’s Boys and Girls Cross Country teams, the Newton Colfax-Mingo Pella Aquagirls, and the Cardinals’ volleyball team will all be competing Thursday night. The Cross Country teams will travel to Fort Dodge to compete in the Fort Dodge Invitational at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course. Over two dozen teams are listed to participate beginning at 4 p.m.. The NCMP Aquagirls will travel to Des Moines to compete against Lincoln at Lincoln High School at 5:30 p.m.. In Newton, the Cardinal Volleyball team hosts a triangular with Des Moines North and Williamsburg. The matches will be held in the High School’s upper gym starting at 5p.m.. Tonight…the 9-12 Newton Volleyball team is on the road at Oskaloosa for a match that starts at 7:15 p.m.. Oskaloosa’s record is 6-14.
