The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening, passing a series of ordinance changes. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the city had to make several changes due to statewide code.
“State legislative changes became effective on July 1st, 2024, and a lot of those had an impact on our code. Everything from publishing requirements, to being able to have electronic meetings, sidewalk concerns, bonding and insurance notifications, all sorts of small changes here or there, so we just brought our code up to compliance with the state.”
