Volleyball Sweeps Centerville On Senior Night And Digging For A Cure Night

The Knoxville Volleyball Squad disposed of Centerville on Tuesday night in three sets 25-14, 25-16, and 25-17 on Digging for A Cure and Senior Night. The Panthers fell behind early in the first two sets, but settled in and ran off eight and nine points in a row respectively to take control. Hannah Dunkin had 12 kills and ten digs, Rylyn McCarty had ten kills and three blocks, Addy Dunkin had 34 assists and 12 digs while Abbie Keitges was 10/10 serving. Senior player Payton Horn was happy to get the win, but maybe happier that she is back on the court after sitting out a couple of weeks due to an injury.

Horn: “It’s been totally different seeing it from the outside perspective. We have a lot more games to play and this weekend with the Pella Tournament and our tournament. It just made me see the other side of things and made me more ready to come back when I did.”

Knoxville is now 17-10 overall and 5-1 in the South Central Conference. The Panthers head to Pella for a meet on Saturday.
