The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved funding for the Sheriff’s Office Generator Project at their meeting Tuesday.
The $75,000 in funding will come from the funds Marion County received from the American Rescue Plan Act, which President Joe Biden signed in 2021. The project will include a main generator radiator, a natural gas radiator, and a switch replacement. Also at the meeting, the board held a discussion and approved funding the bill for safety programs from the Marion County Emergency Management Department, and the meeting concluded with the board entering into closed session.
