Football Battles BGM Tonight

While their slim hopes for a playoff berth ended last week, the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad will has a couple more games to go. The Saints travel to BGM tonight in hopes of pulling the upset and mucking up District seven. The Saints last week played very short handed due to injuries, which contributed to their 55-22 loss to Moravia. Coach Jason Mason tells KNIA Sports that while he may have to use a few younger players tonight, he hopes they mesh well with his more experienced players that will be able to play.

Mason: “Some of these younger kids get to play over this next week. Hopefully our upperclassmen will pick them up and show them how to be a leader for next year.”

The Bears are on a rare three game losing streak and would likely need to win tonight and next week against Moravia to assure themselves of a playoff spot. Kick off is set for 7:00.
