The songwriters behind some of country music’s biggest hits are coming to the Pella Opera House tonight.

Local singer/songwriter and Pella Opera House Associate Director Jara Johnson is inviting her friends Lee Thomas Miller and Wendell Mobley to the stage to discuss and perform the songs they have written for some of the biggest names in country music. Johnson says the show is a great opportunity to learn about the inspiration behind their work.

“I think the unique part of this is you get kind of an inside look into how a song started, one that you’ve heard on the radio, sung by these country artists. You get to hear from the songwriter what they thought about that day and what was going on as they were creating this song that this person cut. I think it’s just that inside look that’s just very unique.”

Nashville North begins at 7 pm tonight at the Pella Opera House and tickets for the show can be purchased using the link here.
