The Newton Public Library is open again. It re-opened today after being closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Library Director Nicole Terry says all technology functions within the library are back up after the server was replaced.

“About every five years it’s recommended that the server be replaced. It houses all of our files, software for the internet stations. 

While the library was closed this week, Terry said patrons could still access all the remote services the library offers. In addition, staff took the opportunity Thursday and Friday to attend the Iowa Library Association Conference in Des Moines.
