The Pleasantville football team defeated the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets 48-22 on the road Friday night.

The Trojans dominated the game from the start and never looked back. Owen Rule had two rushing touchdowns, and sophomore quarterback Braylon Bingham had a pick six on defense and threw touchdown passes to Zane Mullenix, Brayden Kennedy and two to Logan Roff. Pleasantville will head into their last game of the regular season next week against the 0-7 Cardinal Comets but Head Coach Mack Jorth says his team needs to continue to remain focused.

“I think we have really done a tremendous job of staying focused on the game that is on our schedule right now, and we have to continue to do that this week. For us since the Sigourney game we just have to take a step each week to be closer to the best version of ourselves that we can and it’s no different this week. I think our boys will do a great job with that, they’ve been doing a great job with that so I just look forward to them continuing to do that.”

Pleasantville improves to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in district play.
