The Board for the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is expecting to see more visitors than ever before next year, thanks to the Our Iowa Bus Tour. Through Our Iowa Magazine, tour buses will be coming to Newton next summer. Vice President and Co-Chair of Programs and Events at the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Center Ina Heideman says the so-called “Hidden Gems” tour will visit their grounds.

“We have a number of dates where they are coming with their buses to tour a number of places in Newton. That’s a big deal!”

 According to Newton Mayor Evelyn George, five different bus loads of people will come and see some of the highlights of the community and hopefully spread the word. This past Saturday the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens held their 2nd Annual Fall Festival.
