It was another year of sweeping the entire field for the Pella Marching Dutch at the annual Valleyfest showdown late Saturday. Pella’s team score of 89.9 was the highest of any school, regardless of class. The Marching Dutch also nabbed caption awards in Class B for outstanding horn line, marching, percussion, color guard, and soloist. Pella wraps up the season this coming Saturday with the IHSMA State Contest during the day at Pella Christian High School and with the Mid-Iowa Band Championships in Ankeny later that evening.
