Local businesses partnered with residents to send aid to those struggling with recovery from two major hurricanes impacting the U.S. Southeast.

Geetings, Inc. partnered with Kevin Van Wyk State Farm to donate $6,000 and purchase 13 generators, which comes with a semi-trailer load of other goods collected by the community.

Tim Pol with Geetings says the semi bringing the donations to churches assisting residents is leaving sometime today. There are still two trailers yet to fill at their location on Truman Road.
