The Knoxville School Board approved the sale of Ken Locke Stadium to the Knoxville Alumni Association at their meeting Monday night.
The school district agreed to sell the property to the alumni association for $5,000 and the property will be closed on in December. The purchase agreement includes clauses that would allow the school district to have the first option to buy the property back if the alumni association would choose to sell it, and they could also regain ownership of the property if the alumni association fails to maintain the property.
The school board also heard a presentation from Boyd Jones about their findings regarding an assessment at Northstar Elementary. In new business the board approved a senior activity pass proposal, a personnel committee proposal, a price quote from Pierce Fence Company, reviewed Fiscal Year 24 audit findings, and reviewed preliminary certified enrollment.
