o-line-vs-d-line

After spending the last three weeks playing the three toughest teams in class 3A District Six, the Knoxville Football Squad will host Perry…who like Knoxville has had its struggles in the last several weeks against the same teams. The Panthers want to wash away the taste of a 70-0 loss to Creston last week and will be looking forward to honoring the seniors in their final home game at Randy Wilson Track. Coach Matt Dunkin is also looking forward to tonight’s game for several reasons.

Dunkin: “We’re able to play Perry here at home. Last year was a slugfest and was a weird game with weather and injuries. We’re looking forward to getting them here and seeing what happens.”

Last season’s slugfest was also one of the sloppiest games in recent Knoxville history as rain pelted down all night and made field conditions muddy at best in a 17-14 Blue Jays win. Hear the call live on the radio home for the Knoxville Panthers 95.3 KNIA with pregame beginning at 6:30 and the kick off at 7:30.
