Pella Regional Health Center’s Breast Center was recently recognized as a Certified Quality Breast Center of the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers Program (NQMBC). 

The honor represents a commitment by the Pella Regional Breast Center to provide the highest quality breast health care to patients in their community. The Breast Care Center at Pella Regional is a team of medical professionals using a multi-disciplinary approach to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery for breast health issues. The team of specialists includes:

  • Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Technologists – 3D Mammography, Ultrasound, Breast MRI
  • Breast Care Nurse Navigator – Breast Cancer Survivor
  • General Surgeon – Board Certified
  • Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon – Board Certified
  • Medical Oncologists – Board Certified
  • Dedicated Infusion Center Nurses

The National Quality Measures for Breast Centers were developed by referencing the Health Care Advisory Board’s Clinical Quality Dashboard for breast centers published in the fall of 2004. The National Quality Measures for Breast Centers reflect more than five years of work, which has culminated in the adoption of more than 33 National Quality Indicators.
