There will also be an in person Informational meeting in Kellogg on Thursday, October 24th. It will be held at the Amboy Grange Building at 220 High Street. If approved, the proposed $6,400,000 bond referendum would pay for a new Secondary Roads maintenance building and shop and several Jasper County Conservation Department projects. The projects include furnishing the classroom at the soon to be built Environmental Education Center, and new maintenance shops at Mariposa Recreational Area and Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve. The revenue would also convert the former Jasper County Animal rescue league building southeast of the County Sheriff’s Office and Jail into a Sheriff’s Office training facility.
