Several KNIA/KRLS area schools ended their outdoor performance season with marching band competitions closing out their 2024 season on Saturday.

The following schools participated in the Iowa High School Music Association State Marching Band Festivals (see the scores next to the school, and Pella’s information is included here):

Pella – I (50th consecutive)
Indianola – I (11th consecutive)
Norwalk – I
PCM – I
Knoxville – I
Newton – I

Newton placed 7th in Class 4A at the Mid-Iowa Band Championship in Ankeny to close the evening.

The Pride of Indianola placed 4th in Class 4A at the Waukee Marching Invitational that followed the state contest.
