The Jasper County Board of Supervisors have approved a $42,100 Initial Design Services Agreement for Phase Three of the County Highway F-48 West Resurfacing Project. Phase Three goes from Colfax to the Polk County line. Jasper County Engineer Mike Frietsch says evaluating a bridge over Squaw Creek is part of the work that will be done by Snyder & Associates of Ankeny.

“They are going to determine if that bridge can be replaced with box culverts or needs to go back as a bridge. They are going to see if a pretty tight curve at the bridge can be improved.”

Snyder and Associates also did the design work on the first two phases of the Highway F-48 West resurfacing from Newton to Colfax.
