A November fundraiser is in the works for the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Vice President of the Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens’ Board of Directors and co-chair of Program and Events Ina Heideman says they are planning a chocolate related murder mystery to raise funds for the facility.
“The people who attend will be the detectives to figure out who murdered the Chocolatier because it’s called “Death by Chocolate”. With your admittance of $35.00 you’ll be treated to lots of different kinds of chocolates, wine paired with chocolates, cocoa, and anything else chocolate.”
The date for the event has yet to be finalized. The Newton Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is a 19.5 acre site in northeast Newton that has all different varieties of trees, gardens attended by horticulturist and volunteers, a pond, sculptures, and a prairie.
