The Class 2A #8 Pella Christian volleyball team wrapped up the regular season Saturday by going 2-2 at the Knoxville Invitational.
The Eagles dropped their first two matches of the day to Roland-Story 21-16, 21-11 and Union 21-14, 21-19, but finished the day strong with wins of 21-10, 21-14 over Albia and 21-17, 21-19 over Class 1A #2 Holy Trinity. Chloe Huisman dished out 55 assists and recorded 18 digs on the day, while Faith Kacmarynski added a team-high 20 digs. Addie Van Arendonk posted 18 kills and 13 digs in the Eagles’ four matches and Brynn Roozeboom had 17 kills and five blocks. Addison Bandstra accrued 10 blocks and 10 kills for Pella Christian, while Claire Westerkamp had 10 kills and six blocks. Maggie Heinen and Amaia Agre also reached double figure stats for the Eagles on the day, recording 13 and 10 digs respectively.
Pella Christian finishes the regular season at 22-11 overall and will begin Class 2A Region 8 action on Wednesday, hosting either West Central Valley or Earlham at 7 pm.
