The Knoxville City Council will discuss an agreement with Polk County Fire and Rescue at their meeting tonight.
This would be a 28E agreement to provide mutual aid in case of an emergency within the jurisdiction of the parties to this agreement arising in Polk County and/or the adjoining counties of Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Story and Warren. Also at the meeting, the council will set a public hearing regarding the Larson Street Pump Project, hold discussion and possible action regarding potential litigation on a property located at 710 W Washington St., and look to approve an intergovernmental transfer of public funds agreement between the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services and Knoxville Fire Department.
Tonight’s Knoxville City Council meeting will start at 6:15 pm at City Hall.
