The Knoxville Area Community Theater’s (K-ACT) performance of Fiddler on the Roof will open on Friday, November 1st.
This will be a three-day show that will have performances on Friday the 1st at 7:00 pm, Saturday the 2nd at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm and Sunday the 3rd at 2:00 pm. Fiddler on the Roof is a musical set in the Pale of Settlement of Imperial Russia in the early 20th century, which opened on Broadway in 1964 and had the record for the longest running Broadway musical until it was surpassed by Grease. Tickets are $15 for the show and Marty Adkins with K-Act says good attendance is important for shows like these.
“The audiences are super important to the show. The energy and the reactions that audiences bring to the show can make a show better. It’s like a home court advantage for a basketball game. Sometimes a crowd can really help a team perform better, it’s the same thing. The energy and the enthusiasm that an audience brings can make a show better and make it a more rewarding experience for everyone involved.”
