The Class 2A #9 Pella Christian volleyball team begins their postseason journey tonight, hosting Earlham in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A Region 8 playoffs.
The Eagles, who had a first-round bye in the postseason bracket, will square off with a Cardinals team that was 25-21, 17-25, 25-18, 25-18 winners over West Central Valley on Monday. Earlham has been led offensively on the season by senior Kenady Ridout and juniors Kenna Harskamp and Ava Harris. Ridout is the Cardinals’ team-leader in kills on the season with 198, while Harskamp and Harris have posted 299 and 231 assists respectively. Defensively, Earlham is led by sophomore Piper Koberg, junior Keeley Keller, and seniors Presley Koberg and Ridout. Piper and Presley Koberg lead the Cardinals with 31 and 20 blocks apiece, while Keller has a team-high 287 digs and Ridout has 10 blocks and 200 digs.
