The Knoxville Volleyball Squad will for the 3rd straight season look to get to the class 4A regional final, and like last season, the Panthers have to do it on the road this year against Carlisle. Knoxville swept Oskaloosa in round one on Tuesday in a match mostly controlled by the Panthers. Knoxville did have to mount a comeback in the 3rd set as the Panthers were down 19-10 in set three and outscored Oskaloosa 15-5 to win the set and the match. Senior Player Hannah Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, the Wildcats have a couple of front row players to watch, and she and the rest of the Panthers need to bring the energy they had in the earlier round.

Dunkin: “They have a pretty good outside hitter and when we played then one of their hitters was out with an injury. We just have to play with the same energy we played with tonight and not make any errors.”

The Wildcats are 23-9 and received a bye into the semi-finals and finished runner-up in the Raccoon River Conference. AshleyKay Christensen and Sydney Light combined have 627 of the Wildcats 828 kills, who stand at six feet and six/one receptively. The winner will advance to play in the regional final against the winner of the Marion and Western Dubuque contest on Tuesday.
