The Newton Cardinal Football team will wrap up the regular season tonight at home against Des Moines Hoover. A win for the Cardinals gives them a 6-3 overall record. Ahead of their senior night game, head coach Andy Swedenhjelm says this group of seniors have a lot to be proud of.

“By the way they work on and off the field. The way they contribute and the attitude they have. It’s been a really fun group to coach. I really appreciate everything they do for us.”

Kick-off between Newton and Des Moines Hoover is scheduled for 7 pm tonight, due to the Huskies not having a freshman team.
