The 8th Annual Newton YMCA Fall Festival will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight. Newton YMCA Director of Operations Erick Zehr says the festival is one of the many events in Newton centered around halloween.

“So there are a lot of really fun events around town, and the Family Fall Festival has been a staple of those events each year. It’s centered around a trunk-or-treat style event, but ours is unique because we have an indoor and outdoor element to it.”

Zehr says they have over two dozen trunks full of candy donated by various businesses around town. Kids are invited to enjoy the events at the YMCA, including inflatables and meeting Disney Princesses. Zehr says kids and family activities are really important to the YMCA and that many of the events and programs they offer are because of donations from within the community.
