The Pleasantville football team will host Iowa City Regina tonight in the opening round of the Class 1A playoffs.
The Trojans are coming off a 56-13 win over Cardinal last Friday to end the regular season with a 6-2 overall record. Pleasantville will now have their work cut out for them against a 7-1 Regina team who defeated Wilton 20-8 last week. Tonight will feature a strong quarterback matchup between Pleasantville sophomore Braylon Bingham who threw for 1,570 yards and 21 touchdowns in the regular season while Regina quarterback Kyle Tracy threw for 1,441 and 16 touchdowns. Both the Trojans and Regals are extremely similar in terms of offensive production this season.
The two teams have never played each other in the Bound era. Tonight’s game in Pleasantville starts at 7:00 pm.
