A busy stretch of postseason competition continues this week for the Norwalk Warriors.

The Norwalk volleyball team travels to Pella for a Class 4A regional championship game on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. The 11th-ranked Warriors advanced to the Region 6 final with a four-set victory over Bondurant-Farrar on Thursday. They set a single-season school record for wins in the process, improving to 28-13. The fifth-ranked Dutch swept Burlington in their regional semifinal to improve to 38-7.

On Friday afternoon, the Norwalk cross country teams will compete at the State Meet in Fort Dodge at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course. Freshmen Olive DeRocher, Gabby Drymon and Grace Wetzeler will race in the Class 4A girls meet at 2:00 p.m. The 4A fifth-ranked Warrior boys will compete as a team for the sixth consecutive year, running at 2:45.

On Friday night, the Norwalk football team will host Cedar Rapids Xavier in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are 6-3 overall. The Warriors capped a perfect 5-0 District 6 championship with Friday’s 29-26 win over Glenwood.
