Knoxville Runner Isaac Rankin is headed to the class 3A State Cross Country Meet for the 3rd time in his career. Rankin has had a great year in his junior season running for the Panthers. Rankin started out winning his first four races and winning five this season. He finished runner-up in Wednesday’s class 3A State Qualifier to get an automatic bid. Rankin told KNIA/KRLS Sports he has had a good season, but wants to cap off this year with a good finish at Fort Dodge.
Rankin: “I’m pretty happy with it, and really hoping to end it well and I’ve been working really hard this season. Top 15 and getting all-state.”
The class 3A boys race will be Friday at 11:15 at Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge.
